Phenotype MicroArrays, pH. Growth at different pH levels was determined with Phenotype MicroArrays (Biolog) for wild-type 8081c cells. Bacterial solutions in IF-10 were pipetted onto PM10 plates. Plates were incubated at 25°C (dark orange bars) or 37°C (light orange bars), growth was determined and is expressed as OD₆₃₀. The experiment was performed three times, the mean of the population is presented. Error bars indicate 1 s.
