Student satisfaction survey. Students were asked to use Likert scale to state whether they agree with various statements regarding satisfaction with aspects of the program. 1, strongly agree; 2, agree; 3, disagree; and 4, strongly disagree. An average < 2 indicates general agreement or satisfaction and >2 indicates general disagreement or dissatisfaction. Results compared are from 2004 and 2007. In 2004 workshops existed but were not integrated into the research experience and were not given early in the summer, as they were in 2007. Representative data derive from separate pools of students.
