MB expressing Gal4 line (OK107) was used to drive expression of both UAS-mCD8::GFP (green) and UAS-Pum transgenes. Optical sections of the MB lobes (A–F) or MB peduncle (G–L) are shown. In both wild type (A–C and G–I) and Pum over-expressing MBs (D–F and J–L), FasII expression is detected both in MB lobes (α/β [A] and [D]) as well as in the MB peduncle ([G] and [J]). The MB developmental defect in Pum over-expressing MBs can be visualized by both GFP (E) and FasII staining (D).
