Phospholipids were extracted from pancreatic islets of wild-type (Panel A) and RIP-iPLA2β transgenic (Panel B) mice, mixed with internal standard 19:0-LPC, and analyzed as Li+ adducts by positive ion ESI/MS/MS scanning for constant neutral loss of 59 (trimethylamine) to visualize LPC species.
