Urocortin2 suppresses tumor vascularization. LLCC-derived tumors were excised from the flanks of mice after completion of tumor growth studies. Tumor vascularity was assessed by PECAM immunohistochemistry and digital determination of vessel density per high-power field (HPF). (A and B) PECAM staining demonstrates a 1.5-fold reduction in total PECAM-positive vessels in Ad-Ucn2-treated tumors (×40; Insets, ≈×100).
