Insulin was applied for 1 h and subsequently removed by centrifugation and resuspension of myocytes in insulin-free solution. A, current traces in response to voltage steps from -80 to -110 mV (lowest trace) and from -80 to potentials ranging from -20 to +50 mV (in 10 mV steps) before (left, (-) insulin) and 6 h after (right, (+) insulin) the exposure to insulin. Zero current level is indicated by the arrow to the left. Cell capacitances were 65.8 (left) and 62.8 pF (right).
