The CBF model was fitted to actual data using the slow and fast dynein motion duration and the total K_d as parameters of the fit (thereby not limiting CBF of the model to any specific range). A, a model with ≥ 4 cooperative Ca²⁺ binding sites results in a reasonable fit. B, data points from 9 experiments are plotted and the model parameters are fitted to the combined data set. Again, using ≥ 4 cooperative Ca²⁺ binding sites resulted in the best fit. The mean K_d was 0.02 μM, the slow dynein arm duration 9 ms, and the fast dynein arm duration 4.5 ms.
