Whole-cell ‘on’ bipolar cell recording with 50 μm Ca²⁺ and 20 μm CaMKII inhibitor peptide (281–309) (CaMKIIi) in the patch pipette solution. The flash intensities ranged from 0.0625 to 8 Rh** with 0.5 Rh** test flashes applied before and during 0.5 Rh** s⁻¹ steps. The dark holding potential was −37 mV. Current responses to 1 mV voltage commands and responses to 0.5 Rh** flashes are shown below on expanded time scales at the same gain. The input conductance increased from 15 to 45 nS with a small inward shift in the dark current of −15 pA.
