Lsamp^−/− mice make a significantly greater number of entries into both the open and closed arms of the EPM (a), indicating hyperactivity. Lsamp^−/− mice also reside for a longer duration (sec) in the open arms of the maze, with a corresponding decrease in the amount of time spent in the center (b).
