SN50 decreases nuclear localization of Nrf2 as measured by fluorescence imaging. HepG2 cells were transfected with wild-type (WT) pEGFP-Nrf2 or pEGFP-Nrf2 mutated at the NLS3 locus. The cells were then incubated with SN50 (36 μm) or SN50M (36 μm) followed 1 h later with tBHQ (20 μm). Fluorescence imaging and visualization were then performed as described for Fig. 1D.
