Amino acid sequences of the native N-terminal peptide (FP) of HIV-1 gp41, and seven FP variants labeled with 13C at distinct positions. The N-terminal gp41 peptide is from the HIV-1 strain LAV1a with the sequence 1–23, corresponding to residues 519–541 using an earlier numbering system (Myers et al. 1991).
