(C) Truncation of the 16E7 (1-48) peptide sequence from the amino and carboxy termini and subsequent testing at 100 μM (A and B) demonstrate that sequences 1 to 9 and 39 to 48 are not required for CDK2 activation. Thus, 16E7 (9-38) is the minimal peptide for CDK2 activation.
