A, I-V data obtained from an inside-out patch with different anions in the cytosol-like bathing solution: KCl, potassium glutamate (KGlu), K₂SO₄. The unitary conductance was 19 pS. B, I-V curve obtained from an inside-out patch when 50 % of the electrolyte in the bath solution was replaced with sucrose. The reversal potential was about +20 mV, indicating that MS channels have a high cation specificity.
