Transcript detection of Kv subunits by RT-PCR in the rabbit carotid body (CB)

Control amplifications show the detection of an ubiquitous transcript (the ribosomal protein L18), and the enzyme tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) present in the CB. The frontal cortex (Cx) was included as positive control. Negative control lanes (-) refer to amplification in the absence of the template. Amplifications were generally performed with 2 mm Mg²⁺. l-Mg²⁺ indicates where amplification has been performed with 1 mm Mg²⁺.
