The data for the pHB-MALc2M and pBAD/thioE constructs of P. aeruginosa and T. ferrooxidans were reported previously (Stenmark et al. 2001). “o” denotes background colony size (∼0.03 mm²). “+” through “+++++” denotes increasing size of colonies observed after overnight incubation at 37°C, with the maximum size ∼80-fold greater than background.
