In vitro IgG anti-DNA antibody production by the subpopulation of splenic B cells in aged NZB/W F₁ mice that spontaneously expresses the Fas^low phenotype. FACS-sorted splenic Fas^low and Fas⁻ B cells from 8-month-old NZB/W F₁ mice were cultured for 6 days in the presence of anti-Fas mAb, and amounts of IgG anti-DNA antibodies in culture supernatants were measured using ELISA. Data represent the mean and SD of triplicate cultures. Similar results were obtained in three independent experiments.
