(A) Q₁₂HQHQ₁₂HQHQ₁₂ displays transition from β to an unordered conformation at 95°C (dot, dash line) and retains it over a longer period of time. (B) Q₄₂ on the other hand retains its β structure even at 95°C (dot, dash line), although it displays a considerable loss of β-sheet content.
