Analysis of B-cell cytokine receptor mRNA production by the RNase protection assay using various modes of activation. mRNA was extracted and analysed from CD5 B cells, cultured for 12 hr in the presence of: DAP3 cells, CD40 ligand (CD40L)–DAP3 cells, goat anti-bovine IgM F(ab′)2 (25 µg/ml), or both CD40L transfectants and anti-immunoglobulin M (IgM). Results are representative of three experiments.
