Enhanced antigen-presenting cell (APC) capacity of A^k/b spleen cells: evidence for mixed heterodimer restricted T-cell responses to the recombinant 16 000-MW protein of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (rPT16). Lymph node (LN) cells from 20 µg of rPT16/Freund’s incomplete antigen (FIA)-primed (B10.BR × B10)F₁ mice were nylon wool purified and cultured in the presence of 5 µg/ml of rPT16 and irradiated spleen cells from: non-immune B10.BR(A^k/k), (B10.BR × B10)F₁(A^k/b) or B10(A^b/b) strains; heterozygous (A^b/k) and hemizygous (A^0/k) segregant progeny of the (Aβ0/b × B10.BR) cross. Δ Stimulation index (SI) values were corrected for values obtained from phosphate-buffered saline (PBS)/FIA-injected mice.
