(C) Nonpolar amino acids comprising the core exhibit well-defined structure. The figure shows nonpolar amino acids in the 15 lowest energy structures, with residues in helices 1 and 2 on the left and residues in helices 3 and 4 on the right. This well-ordered hydrophobic core indicates that S-836 forms a native-like structure.
