Lanes 1 to 9 are D. melanogaster populations (Bolivia, Brazzaville, Canton, Chicharo, Reunion Island, Arabia, Virasoro, Vietnam, and ISO for the 9th and 20th lane). Lanes 1 to 19 are D. simulans populations (Amieu, Eden, Valence, Canberra, Papeete, Moscow, Makindu, Zimbabwe, Cann River and Reunion Island). For both Southern blots, the DNA size is estimated in base pairs.
