[14C]GlcA transfer from UDP-[14C]GlcA into ethanol-insoluble products formed by Golgi-enriched microsomal preparations (approximately 0.2 mg of protein) from wheat, rice, and maize etiolated seedlings. [14C]GlcA incorporation was measured in the presence (black bars) or absence (white bars) of 0.5 mm UDP-Xyl for 90-min reactions. The assays were conducted in triplicate.
