(A) A cell heterozygous for the variant that behaved like a wild-type cell—i.e., the increase in slope of the current response by 8cpt-cAMP could be blocked by PMA. (B) A cell in which the effect of cAMP was partially blocked by PMA. (C) A cell heterozygous for the variant that behaved like a homozygous cell. For this cell, PMA had no effect on the increase in the slope of the current response induced by 8cpt-cAMP.
