Intracellular injection of positive and negative current steps revealed different membrane properties in a projection neuron (A), a nitric oxide synthase/somatostatin-containing interneuron displaying low-threshold spikes (LTS interneuron, B) a large aspiny (LA) cholinergic interneuron (C) and a fast-spiking (FS) interneuron (D).
