After treatment of Purkinje cells with 100 (A) and 20 μM MeHg (B) for 7 and 25 min, respectively, induced apparent increases in amplitude and frequency of mIPSCs, application of 10 μM bicuculline rapidly blocked mIPSCs, but failed to prevent the appearance of the giant slow inward currents in either cell.
