Linear regression analysis was carried out on the groups indicated to examine the correlation of Nav 1.8-like immunoreactivity (Nav 1.8-LI) relative intensity with AP duration at base, AP rise time and AP fall time. A-fibre unresponsive units were excluded. All neurons had membrane potentials (Em) equal to or more negative than −50mV, except for the only C LTM (−48mV). All correlations were positive. In each case where P < 0.05, on the first line the P, r2 and n values are given, and on the second line the slope is shown, ns, Not significant.
