Effect of single versus multiple doses of ZD6126 in combination with paclitaxel (PTX). Mice bearing MDA-MB-435 tumours (approximately 450 mg) were treated (A) with ZD6126 (200 mg kg⁻¹, i.p.) followed 72 h later by PTX (40 mg kg⁻¹, i.v.), for four weekly cycles or (B) with a single injection of ZD6126 (200 mg kg⁻¹, i.p.) followed by four weekly treatments with PTX (40 mg kg⁻¹ i.v.) n=6–7. Treatments are indicated by black (PTX) and white (ZD6126) triangles. CR=complete remission (cured mice, remaining disease free for at least 4 weeks after the end of treatment).
