Treating human glioma cells with cerulenin fails to alter their radiosensitivity. SNB-19 human glioma cells were treated with 0.5–4.0 μg ml−1 cerulenin for 2 h, control cells received DMSO. The cells then received either γ irradiation (single dose of 4 or 5 Gy γ rays [▪]) using a 137Cs irradiator or sham irradiation (⧫), incubated for 96 h, and then viability was assessed using the MTT assay.
