Effects of VEGF on CRC proliferation. HT29 cells (2 × 10³) in 96-well plates in serum-free media were untreated or treated with VEGF-A (10 ng ml⁻¹) in the presence of AP23464 (1 μM) or IMC-18F1 (20 μg ml⁻¹) and proliferation was determined by MTT assay as described in Materials and Methods. Bars represent standard error of the mean. Results are representative of three independent experiments.
