The extent of uPAR staining was scored as described for α6 integrin staining. Student's t-test was used to test the association between the extent of staining of uPAR and the histological grade of tumour. Greater extent of staining was observed in grade 3 tumours compared to grade 1/2 tumours (P<0.01).
