The whole was obtained by overlapping clones: a 2.7-kb HindIII clone (clone 3) containing exon 3, a 3.8-kb PCR product (PCR9) obtained between exon 2 and exon 3, and a 2.7-kb EcoRI clone (clone 4) isolated by screening a total EcoRI library with the 75-nt exon 2 obtained by PCR.
