Radiation-induced growth delay in LoVo tumour xenografts. Localised radiotherapy was administered to tumours of size 220–280 mm³ with five allocated per treatment group. Experiments were terminated when RTV₄ was achieved. The arrow on the 15 Gy data point indicates that the mean time to achieve RTV₄ was actually greater than 44 days as the whole experiment was terminated 50 days after treatment, at which point RTV₄ had been achieved in only three of the five mice treated with this dose. The data represent mean values (s.e.m.).
