Effect of cold temperature on nuclear segregation. Wild-type and yeb1Δ cells grown to late log phase (>107 cells ml−1) at 30 °C were shifted to 14 °C for 36 h or 80 h. Control cells were kept at 30 °C. Data are shown only for abnormal cell forms: binucleate large-budded cells, binucleate unbudded cells, and multi-nucleate unbudded cells with three or more nuclei.
