An alignment of the predicted amino acid sequences of the N-terminal (extracellular) domains of all C. elegans nAChR subunits was calculated using Clustal W and presented by the GENEDOC program (available from its authors at http://www.cris.com/~ketchup/genedoc.shtml). The conserved di-cysteine loop and the loops contributing to the ACh binding site are shown. Residues are numbered according to the chicken α7 nAChR subunit.
