The proliferation index was measured by KI-67 expression in neu-induced mammary carcinomas from (a) intact rats and (b) ovariectomized rats. The terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated nick end-labeling assay was performed to asses the apoptotic index in (c) intact rats and (d) ovariectomized rats.
