Cell cultures (WT (YYK409) and kog1-105 (YYK410)) blocked in metaphase with 15 µg/ml nocodazole were released into YEPD at 30°C (WT cont.), at 37°C (kog1-105), or 30°C in the presence of 200 ng/ml rapamycin (WT, rapa.). Budding indices (%) were determined to monitor the cell cycle progression. Cell image (DIC and DAPI staining) of the culture was shown. Arrow indicates small bud.
