(A) Detection of mRNAs of ionotropic and metabotropic P2-receptor subtypes and of β-actin (a) in Kyse-140 cells as well as in oesophageal primary cell cultures by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT–PCR). Transcripts of two representative primary cell cultures (1 and 2) out of four are shown. Amplified cDNA was visualised by gel electrophoresis on an ethidium-bromide-stained agarose gel.
