Transmission Electron Micrographs of Plastids from Mesophyll Cells of the Wild Type and Mutants.

Leaf samples were harvested at the midpoint of the light period from plants grown in short-day conditions (100 μmol photons m−2 s−1, 25°C, 8/16 h day/night). Starch granules (marked with asterisks) can be distinguished from plastoglobules (small black dots). Stroma membranes with blunt ends not engaged in grana stacks in koCP24 chloroplasts are indicated by an arrow.
