Data are means ± SE. Statistical comparisons were made using ANOVA with least significant difference post hoc test. ANOVA indicated significant effect of genotype in all four variables. There was no effect of age per se for any variable, but there was a significant interaction between age and genotype for UOsm (P < 0.01), FWC (P < 0.01), and PK (P < 0.01). FWC, free water clearance; PAldo, plasma concentration of aldosterone; PCort, plasma concentration of corticosterone; PK, plasma concentration of potassium; POsm, plasma osmolality; UOsm, urine osmolality
