Effects of pharmacologic concentrations of 4-CPA and retinoids on RARβ expression. LA-N-5 cells were treated with RA (0.5 μM), RAG (7.5 μM), 4-CPA (0.75 mM), RA (0.5 μM)+RAG (7.5 μM), RA (0.5 μM)+RAG (7.5 μM)+4-CPA (0.75 mM), or solvent control as indicated for 2 days. Fold-increased RARβ mRNA levels were quantified by real-time RT–PCR as described in Materials and Methods. Columns represent the mean (±s.e.m.) of three experiments.
