Effects of pretreatment with 1 nM l-deprenyl on the radiation response of human normal and malignant bladder explants. The area of the outgrowth was measured on day 14 postirradiation and the treated outgrowth area is expressed as a percentage of the control (mean±s.e.m. for five patients per group). Absolute values for the normal control were 460±120 mm² and for the tumour 246±60 mm². ^*P<0.05, ^**P<0.01.
