CFPHV infection was confirmed by PCR of tumor DNA. (A) ELISA scores plotted against time relative to the start of the experiment. Time points sampled prior to time zero were from turtles that did not have tumors, while those sampled after time zero were from turtles with detectable tumors. Reference ELISA scores (means ± standard deviations) for 10 “known negative” controls (▪) and the positive assay control sample (□) are included for comparison. The cutoff value (0.12) corresponds to 3 standard deviations above the mean score of “known negative” pool sample.
