Western blot analysis of flagellum production in complemented motile mutants of CFT073 fim L-ON. Whole-cell lysates from standardized mid-log-phase cultures were prepared, electrophoresed onto SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis gels, and subjected to Western blot analysis with antiserum specific to H1 flagella. The + and − signs indicate mutants transformed with the complementation plasmid and the vector plasmid, respectively.
