WNV E localizes with CTB at the plasma membrane. Vero cells grown on coverslips were infected at an MOI of 10 PFU of WNV/cell and incubated with 10 μg of FITC-conjugated CTB/ml for 30 min on ice. Cells were shifted to 37°C for 10 min, after which they were fixed in 4% PFA and stained with WNV E antibodies, followed by Alexa 594-conjugated secondary antibodies. The nuclei were stained by DAPI. The inset shows a magnification of the marked region of interest in the merged image. Scale bars, 10 μm.
