Production of IL-12 (A) and IL-10 (B) by C3H/HeSn following stimulation with CpG-oligonucleotides. Dendritic cells were cultured for 7 days in the presence of GM-CSF only (clear bars) or GM-CSF and IL-4 (hatched bars), followed by 72 h stimulation with either 1.25 × 10⁵ CFU ml⁻¹ BCG, 2 or 4 μM adjuvant CpG or 2 μm control oligonucleotide. Cytokine concentration was determined by ELISA.
