Figure 2

Selected EPR spectra of allylbenzene-inactivated CPO during spontaneous reactivation at 22°C. Spectra were recorded on a single sample at (from top) 0, 6, 12, 36, 106, and 195 h cumulative reactivation times, where 0 h is the time of initial freezing after work-up at 4°C. EPR spectra have been adjusted to a constant integrated area. Experimental conditions: T = 4 K, microwave power 20 nW, 100 kHz modulation of 10 G amplitude, frequency 9.443 GHz, sweep rate 4 G/s. At intermediate times during the reactivation, three S = ½ ferric species can be observed.
