Contraction force measurements on three soleus muscles (P32) of heterozygous (AChRɛ+/−) or null mutant mice (AChRɛ−/−) in normal Tyrode solution and in blocking solution [Tyrode solution containing in addition 0.1 μM (+)-tubocurarine, (dTC)] at 25°C. Force refers to mean maximal amplitude of contraction force measured during direct electrical stimulation of the muscles or during electrical stimulation of the ischiadic nerve.
