Representative results of RT–PCR for total RNA extracted from epithelial ovarian carcinoma tissues. Bands of the correct size for EBAG9 (213 bp), ERα (168 bp) and β-actin (459 bp) were detected in each histological subtype of ovarian cancer (1,2: serous; 3,4: mucinous; 5,6: endometrioid; 7,8: clear cell). β-Actin was used as a positive control and NC as a negative control. Note that all of the cases that were positive for ERα mRNA were also positive for EBAG9 mRNA.
