DNA mobility shift analyses of pKs. Synthesised pKs bind to plasmid DNA electrically. Three pKs were preincubated with 0.5 μg of λ/HindIII DNA marker. The plasmid DNA was electrophoresed alone or after preincubation with a given concentration (0.05–5 μg) of polypeptides. All plasmids were immobilised with pKs at a protein-to-DNA (w w⁻¹) ratio of 1.
