Western blot analysis of basal expression levels of cytoplasmic COX-2 protein in CRC and non-CRC cell lines. Cytoplasmic extracts were made from untreated cells and probed with mouse monoclonal COX-2 antibody. A COX-2 electrophoresis standard (72 kDa monomer) is used to indicate the COX-2 band. COX-2 is expressed in the HRT-18, HT-29, LoVo and MDA-MB-231 cell lines. The Western blot shown is representative of at least three independent experiments and actin was used as a control for protein loading.
